Our History
In 2015, Heidi Berenjfoorosh and Chef Desmond Arp founded Revel Catering, a full-service catering and event production company known for its exceptional cuisine and seamless execution. While working in the corporate event world, they noticed a growing need for healthier, sustainable, and budget-friendly workplace catering. Catering Provisions was born from that vision—and brings the same high-quality cuisine and expertise of Revel Catering to workplaces looking for delicious, affordable, and effortlessly coordinated meal solutions. We believe providing great food for your workplace should be easy, sustainable, and accessible—so your team can focus on what they do best while enjoying nourishing meals they love.

Who We Are
Heidi Berenjforoosh Co-Founder & Director of Sales
Heidi’s journey into the world of catering and hospitality began in college as a catering server—a role that sparked something inside her. What started as a job quickly turned into a passion, leading her to a career in event planning at Robert Fountain International (RFI). There, she discovered her love for client management, event logistics, and the fast-paced excitement of the industry.
It was during an event at RFI that Heidi met Chef Desmond Arp, and everything clicked into place. They bonded over their shared passion for food, travel, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. With Heidi’s expertise in client management and Dez’s culinary artistry, the duo founded Revel Catering, a company dedicated to exceptional food and seamless event production.
Today, Heidi channels her love for hospitality and business through her three brands:Revel Catering; Experient Events; &
Catering Provisions.
Through each venture, Heidi continues to bring people together over incredible food, meaningful experiences, and unforgettable events.
Chef Desmond “Dez” Arp Co-Founder & Executive Chef
Chef Dez’s culinary journey began at just 14 years old, working in professional kitchens and honing his craft. His early passion for food led him to a role as the chef at a luxury ski lodge in Utah, but his hunger for new experiences took him on a cross-country adventure, working in catering kitchens across the U.S. He immersed himself in regional cuisines, learning from every corner of the country—and along the way, he fell in love with the energy, variety, and creativity of catering.His journey eventually brought him to San Francisco, where fate (and food) led him to Heidi Berenjforoosh.
Today, Dez still finds inspiration in his travels, bringing fresh ideas and global flavors to every Revel and Catering Provisions menu. But what drives him most is mentorship—leading his team, working alongside fellow chefs, and fostering a collaborative kitchen culture. While his journey started with a focus on food, it has evolved into something even greater: building a company where passion, teamwork, and innovation thrive.

We proudly craft seasonal, regeneratively sourced menus in partnership with local distributors who share our commitment to responsible sourcing. Our trusted purveyors—including Greenleaf, Cooks, C&L, Royal Hawaiian, Golden Gate Meat Company, and World Centric—are the backbone of our kitchen, helping us bring fresh, high-quality ingredients to every meal we serve.
As a company specializing in drop-off catering, we take pride in minimizing our environmental impact by using compostable and recyclable servingware whenever possible. Sustainability is about more than just ingredients—it’s about the full lifecycle of every meal we prepare.
